Autotank Colossus Objective 2

Autotank Colossus →

  • In the game's CodexAn experimental automaton, long abandoned on the battlefield. Two summoning pods sit at set places of the map; each territory holds one, which only the team that owns it can activate. Once summoned, the Colossus stays active for a limited time before withdrawing underground; the timer pauses while it is attacking a target. When it expires, it reappears on the opposite side with health reduced by the damage it took. Destroying it grants: 400 Merits to the whole team; extra Merits if your side is behind, the more so the wider the gap; a temporary bonus to movement speed, maximum soldiers and respawn time; and a core that can be captured by holding right-click until the bar is full. Once captured, the core releases 400 allied soldiers, drops supplies, grants a permanent +20 kinetic and alchemic power, and strengthens the attacks of all allied units for a limited time. (Pioneer)B

A Bastion targets Giants if no other unit is present; when a Giant attacks a defending Giant within its range, it immediately targets the attacker. Order a soldier charge [D] to open the Bastion's protective dome and expose its weak point, making it vulnerable to attacks and abilities. A Bastion's health is split into segments: a damaged segment regenerates, but a segment fully depleted is lost for good. Destroying an opponent's Bastion disrupts the flow of its soldiers and units and brings all its dead Giants back to life. Once a Bastion is destroyed, the others gain extra health and allied units receive a damage bonus. (Pioneer)B

Destroy Outposts to earn Merits and push the line, but a destroyed Outpost explodes: attack it before it does to direct the blast at enemy targets, otherwise it hurts the soldiers, units and Giants in range. • Background"He waits beneath thought. He drinks beneath death. He comes." The chanting of the cultists that speak for the Voidmaster is heavy and rhythmic. Wherever the entity appears, minds bend toward it. Soldiers become worshippers, worshippers become a congregation, and it speaks and chants with one voice. With every mind surrendered and every death offered in its presence, Voidmaster becomes more substantial and more powerful. It's cultists claim this is only an aspect of something immeasurably greater waiting beyond the Void Desolate. Perhaps enough people believing in it will make them right. announced (Pioneer)A
  • More of the storyVoidmaster's war-shell started as a dirigible designed to destroy the nightmare if its cultists dreamt it into existence. It failed; its crew was immediately brainwashed and lowered the vessel so that the Voidmaster could graft itself onto the hull. Voidmaster's crew complement are all dedicated cultists who rarely, if ever, leave their post, and speak in a disturbing unison whenever they open comms. announced (Pioneer)A

  • BackgroundWolfgang does not consider himself a monster. He considers himself the price of victory. Court-martialed for his war crimes and sent for execution, his Dawnline followers freed this raging nightmare and dreamt him into an avatar of fury. announced (Pioneer)A
  • More of the storyEducated, calculating and utterly convinced of his own necessity, he regards restraint as weakness and collateral damage as a calculation lesser commanders are too cowardly to make. In human form, his rage is controlled: seductive, articulate and dangerous precisely because there is logic behind it. In Beast form, that restraint collapses. The philosophy remains, but language gives way to instinct: short commands, snarled threats and brutal certainty. Wolfgang does not become inept when he transforms. He just stops explaining himself. announced (Pioneer)A
